RCS Training Opportunities
Our team coordinates a number of training opportunities for staff throughout the year to understand the basics of risk management, discuss current issues and trends impacting our work and to highlight important policies, resources and guidance to support the work at the unit level. In addition to RCS training opportunities, we promote opportunities facilitated by our campus partners. If you'd like to request a custom class for your unit/department, including CPR/FA certification, complete a custom class request form.

- CSA Training - June 11 from 11am-12pm (Zoom registration)
Campus Security Authority (CSA) Training
Once an employee has been notified that they have been designated as a Campus Security Authority or CSA, they must complete a CSA training session within 30 days of the notification and annually thereafter. There are two training options available to meet the training requirement. First, we host a monthly live training session via Zoom that includes an overview of the Clery Act, CSA responsibilities, our CSA reporting procedure and common situations that likely require reporting under the Clery Act (we strongly recommend CSAs attend an upcoming live training session.) Second, CSAs may complete the "Clery Act Training for Campus Security Authorities" found in LMS (please ensure you logged into LMS prior to beginning the training module so that your completion is recorded.) Regardless of the option completed, the CSAs LMS training record will be updated upon completion (instantly for the LMS module and within two weeks after each live training session.)
Risk & Compliance Orientation
This orientation includes relevant information for all staff members regardless of their experience at the University. Content includes information regarding compliance responsibilities and expectations, risk mitigation practices, guidance concerning common issues, and centralized processes for administrative services. The orientation is designed to cover a number of topics in a short period time with content continually updated.
