Volunteer Process

This page is for managers and supervisors to complete the volunteer process.

To initiate the process, the manager or supervisor should submit a Volunteer Opportunity request form. Once the request is approved, interested applicants can submit a volunteer application and the manager or supervisor can proceed with the process outlined below. Completed volunteer applications will be sent to the supervisor listed on the request form.

  1. Once the volunteer application is reviewed and approved, the manager or supervisor should initiate the following forms via DocuSign:
  2. If the volunteer must be fingerprinted, the volunteer may schedule an appointment with HR.
  3. Once the Volunteer Assignment form is submitted by the volunteer and we confirm they were fingerprinted (if applicable), within three business days the Volunteer Assignment form will be approved with automated messages to the volunteer, supervisor, and HR that the process has been completed and volunteer may begin the opportunity.
  4. Within 10 business days of approval, the volunteer should complete the online volunteer orientation (or equivalent) and any required training.
