UCLA Campus Life is a division of Student Affairs that is committed to promoting engagement on campus and in the community. In all programs and activities, we strive to create opportunities that are educational, inclusive, leadership-focused, sustainable, and healthy. Through a variety of initiatives, UCLA students, faculty, staff, and campus community experience activities that facilitate learning and personal wellbeing.
Divisional Units
CPO aims to build and nurture an inclusive and diverse community of scholars and leaders who are dedicated to giving back through student-run and student-initiated outreach, service, and retention programs.
Commuter Support & ProgramsCampus Life's Commuter Support & Programs aims to advocate for student commuters' academic, co-curricular, and transportation needs and, in this process, to create visibility for the commuter student experience across the university. Our mission is to assist in helping student commuters, both undergraduates and graduate students, build a community as Bruins regardless of their commuting distance and ensure they have access to campus and transportation resources to promote their success at UCLA.
Fraternity and Sorority Relations (FSL)The Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life serves to enhance the growth and development of UCLA students through their membership in, or engagement with, the fraternity and sorority community. The Office fosters a sense of belonging for the individual student rooted in a shared commitment to their fraternal oath and our UCLA True Bruin Values.
LGBTQ Resource CenterThe UCLA Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) Campus Resource Center supports students and employees of all genders and sexual and romantic orientations through community-building events, resources, counseling, outreach, training, consultation and advocacy. We approach our work through holistic, intersectional, and social justice frameworks that honor and empower individuals at their many identities and lived experiences including but not limited to race, ethnicity, immigration status, ability, religion, and class.
Student Health Education & Promotion (SHEP)Student Health Education & Promotion strives to cultivate a supportive UCLA campus community that optimizes the healthiest possible development, fosters academic success, and creates a platform for life-long wellbeing of the campus community and all its members.
Student Organizations, Leadership & Engagement (SOLE)SOLE advises UCLA's 1,400 student organizations, and strives to empower through active engagement with an emphasis on fostering student-led organizational development, leadership, and service.
UCLA Parent and Family AssociationThe Parent & Family Association is committed to helping parents and families participate in their student’s experience at UCLA. We believe an informed and supportive family plays an integral role in a student’s educational success. To that end, our office is the “one-stop shop” for all of your UCLA questions and needs. We offer resources for families to understand their student’s experience at different stages in their collegiate career. To do this, we communicate regularly with families via our helpline, emails, digital newsletters, social media and website.
UCLA Recreation (Rec)UCLA Recreation (Rec) UCLA Recreation is dedicated to providing high-quality recreational and learning experiences that reflect the varied leisure and wellness needs of the UCLA community.
Veteran's Resource Center (VRC)The Veteran Resource Center provides caring and personalized support to UCLA undergraduate and graduate military connected students. We help our students navigate UCLA by providing a welcoming space, mentoring, guidance on educational benefits, and tools to succeed academically and personally while at UCLA.
Campus Resources & Services
Respondent Services assists with explaining the rights of a respondent regarding the UC Policy on Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment. We do this through: navigating the resolution; investigation and/or adjudication processes; answering questions related to the policies and procedures; and providing information about and making referrals to other related campus resources.
Sponsorship OpportunitiesCampus Life Sponsorship is involved in many campus events and programs that serve students (undergraduate & graduate), employees, and campus groups. Throughout these varied engagements a focus is maintained on promoting sustainability, important cause-related efforts, the latest technology utilization, and meaningful connections among individuals and organizations.
Student FundingCampus Life Support for Student Programming (SSP) funding, administered by the Office of the Associate Vice Chancellor, provides supplemental funding for student activities and programs that benefit the campus community. These funds are open to all Registered Campus Organizations and official student governments.
UCLA Spirit SquadThe UCLA Spirit Squad consists of three components, the Cheer Squad, Dance Team, and UCLA’s iconic mascots, Joe and Josie Bruin. Together, they represent UCLA at hundreds of events and athletic competitions per year, and have become synonymous with the university’s worldwide brand and image.
Venues and scheduling inquiriesThe Venues & Events office collaborates with UCLA departments and external affiliates to accommodate annual functions, as well as to host a diverse array of new and exciting events that benefit the UCLA community.
Committees with Student AppointeesCommittees are opportunities for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students to get involved in university wide efforts which impact students.
